University Libraries and IDeATe

At Carnegie Mellon, the University Libraries exist at the center of a global transformation. The Libraries are a collaboration, communication and engagement hub for our visionary faculty and students with well-equipped spaces where students can conduct serious scholarship and reach new heights.

The Libraries strengthen the work of the CMU academic community to ensure its transformative impact on our campus and beyond. Offering digital resources, research support, enhanced learning spaces and so much more, the Hunt, Sorrells, Mellon and CMU-Q libraries enrich the CMU student experience and benefit all members of the community. As the home of the University Archives and Special Collections, we play an incredibly unique role on campus as the stewards of Carnegie Mellon's history and legacy .

The support of our donors allows us to add an edge of excellence to our work, advancing new pathways for knowledge creation and sharing, enriching the student experience, documenting our community’s history and demonstrating Carnegie Mellon’s continuous impact on society.
