CMU-Hillel is committed to providing a vibrant, welcoming community for Carnegie Mellon University’s Jewish students to grow in their identity while pursuing their studies.
CMU-Hillel offers opportunities that help students to live their best possible college experience while giving them the skills they need to be successful personally and professionally. Students can infuse Judaism into their daily lives by sharing Shabbat meals and observing holiday traditions. They also build relationships through activities like ice skating and karaoke. For students interested in service, there are leadership positions on the executive board. Those who want to broaden their education can pursue internship opportunities in Israel.
Finding a place to belong to is something we all strive for, and CMU-Hillel offers that vital connection to Jewish CMU students. Whether you are an alumnus, parent or grandparent of a CMU student involved with CMU-Hillel, you know that CMU-Hillel helps students find a balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human by encouraging them to participate in Jewish learning and Jewish student community activities and events, and to support Israel and global Jewish peoplehood. Each day CMU-Hillel is committed to excellence, innovation, accountability and results. But we can’t do this without you!
